“I wanted to recognize the contributions of those who helped bring the project to life.”
— Carla Olson
To help raise funds for the production of Bona Fide, an original design has been commissioned from internationally recognized First Nations artist Corrine Hunt. The design, entitled Flow, has been produced as artwork prints and sterling silver jewellery, featured below.
The motif of the design, entitled Flow, is that of a wave, symbolizing creativity. Waves, like creativity, are a powerful force in nature that are continuously regenerating, and the artwork's spiraling circular shape depicts this continual flow and balance. Creativity and community, key elements in each both artists' creative endeavours and the basis of their collaboration, are represented in the design by illustrations of a raven and orca.
